Fees & Reimbursement

Dr. Chisholm and Dr. Thomas provide brief initial consultations free of charge to discuss reasons for testing and determine if an evaluation is appropriate.

The cost for a developmental assessment ranges between $2500-$4000 and a neuropsychological evaluation between $3300-$5500, depending on the referral question. This includes 4-8 hours of testing, daycare or school observation (if requested), academic testing (if requested), consultation with requisite providers/educators, report preparation, and feedback session. One half of the evaluation fee is required upon scheduling the first testing session and the remainder is due before the report is provided. Sessions are billed electronically. A good faith estimate of cost for the evaluation will be provided after the initial intake assessment.

Consultations related to 504 and IEP plans and follow-ups to discuss implementation of evaluation recommendations are billed at any hourly rate of $200-$250.

Dr. Chisholm is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Optum plans (United Healthcare, Mass General Brigham) which can cover part of the testing cost for plan holders. Dr. Thomas is not currently in network with any insurance plans. We are happy to provide a detailed invoice of provided services to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Testing related only to ADHD or academic achievement, as well as other educational services, are not covered by any insurance plans.
